Oh what memories of Ms.Jan. The ...have 2 pencils ready, Ms.Jan is doing a lice check today. Then there was the dreaded weigh in. Dreaded because I weighed in at a whopping 234 in 8th grade. There was also that glass thermometer on the secretary’s desk which stood in a container of alcohol and was in the mouth of every kid who attended Harkers Island School.
